Expo 08

A rugby Trade Fair and an invite blagged for a Warriors delegation. Short notice meant there wasn't much chance to choose fairly so Gwilym Lewis (Sec/player/coach), Lee Rowlands (Team Manager), Jon Kerr (Captain), John Horwood (Most capped player), Dai Newson (Chairman) and Lewis Jones (Rugby personality) were selected for the job of going to London and spreading the word. Nusiance pulled out due to SHOPPING commitments!!!

it was an early start as we picked the boys up, nothing like seeing Lewi leering up at you on a cold dark morning. We drove up to llundain without too much issue although the sat nav let us down at the crucial moments (ie in London). John spotted where we were supposed to be an in very little time we had signed in and blagged our 1st freebies of the day.

We went on the 2nd day which was a bit of a shame as most of the big events had obviously taken place the day before and there were much fewer reps about generally. We did get to meet/spot Graham price, Martin bayfield, Dan Lyle, Gareth Rees and some other types, play some rugby skill games, check out the latest in kit n stuff and bag a few freebies. We spoke to some nice kit people and the
folks at wooden spoon but I don't know of anything will come of it.

We also got to see a bit of London inc Houses of Parliment, the london Eye and a very cold looking Scottish piper. Most important we tried to get the concept of people with learning difficulties playing rugby over to some more people - blydi long day tho!
