Played 8 matches losing only away to Gwlad. Retained the Dai Spriggs Cup and Cefenithin Cup. 1st season didn't play the Swansea Gladiators. New kit provided by Tinopolis tv company.
Captain Simon Jenkins
The season began slowly and disappointingly. Fixtures were cancelled at Betws and Bynea. In November Gwilym was due to go on social work placement and with a subsequent change of job likely photos were taken of his last training session in charge. With staffing issues and changes of policy it eventually transpired that this would be the last training session held at Parc y Scarlets (to date anyway).
Luckily it was a well attended session and so the team finished on a high.
It was decided to arrange a Halloween party but with a series of cock ups the intended decoration of the Cambrian didn’t come about. Rob rescued the situation somewhat thank goodness and those who attended seemed to enjoy. Thanks to Bloc and Neil for their efforts and to Natalie for trying.
Perhaps the highlight of the whole season was the trip to Cardiff to play Gwlad and watch the Wales v Scotland match. Gemma and Lauren set the party going and everyone joined in – classic.
During the 6 nations the Warriors held a fantasy rugby competition with a wide range of participants.
And the winners were:
The winner was Phil Williams whose Seasider team where only just outside the top 100, good effort Phil, but how come young Jonny Kerr knows so little about the game then?
Not toTo far behind was Ricky Harrises' Yid Army and proving lucky guesses can work was former Betws scrum half Rob Holmes.
We then fall over 1000 places to Betws Secretary Jeff Thomas' outside half factory.
The highest of the players was Mike 'Minime' Seignot with his inbred of heaven.
Nearer the bottom (discounting those who can't work a computer properly) worst of this season's players was Randy Curtis Ramcke, just beaten by Nathan Lawson.

Finally there was the presentation evening.
Playing records for 2009/10:
The Warriors won 7 out of 8 fixtures retaining both the Cefneithin and Dai Spriggs Memorial Cups.
45 players represented the club. Ben Phillips making a debut as a replacement in the final match against Llanelli Ambulance Service whilst John Horwood moved the appearance record on to igdi apperances.
Simon Jenkins regained the Top Point Scorers Award from Jon Kerr. He was joint top try scorer with Curtis Ramcke (7) and also kicked 8 conversions.
60 tries were scored in total (7 and half per game) helping make up a total of 282 with 16 conversions.
So anyway presentation night was a good one:
Who won what at the 2010 Bolas
The Llanelli Warriors celebrated their 15th season with their annual presentation night at the weekend. The integrated side who include players with learning difficulties were celebrating a very successful season where they lost just once. Accordingly the presentation night was a well attended high spirited affair with plenty of contenders for the various awards.Team Captain Simon Jenkins picked up two awards; Top Points Scorer demonstrated that he had led from the front and Players’ Player indicated a massive vote of confidence from his team mates. Most Improved Player was Nathan Lawson who proved an effective member of a competitive back row whilst Jason Bennett was rewarded for all the advice and support he had given throughout the season with the Sportsman trophy. After presentations to the Warriors ever popular linesman Lewis Jones and the Cambrian pub, No 8 Robert Hughes was named Warriors Player of the Year 2009-10. An effective loose player who also did well at line outs Robert picked up the most Man of the Match awards across the season and the team sometimes struggled without his presence and so he was a deserving recipient of the club’s prestigious Golden Bola award.Looking forward to next season the club was invigorated by a number of new players coming through that have boosted resources both on and off the field. The club have already announced a number of exciting fixtures including hosting a similar team from Bradford, England whilst ambitious plans to establish their own ground are now underway.Having now achieved 15 years worth of experience the team look ready to move up a level for the next 15.A very successful and enjoyable presentation evening held back at the Cambrian. Arse backwards for much of it, plenty of mistakes but still good fun and everybody seemed happy – a typical Warriors event then.A very successful sell off of the reappearing kit was 1st which at least seemed to stop Big Rhyd moaning, special thanks to Mike who chucked in extra money and Gary James who took it on himself to buy one for Burry Ports cabinet. Then whilst we waited for the daytrippers (Killer, Pretty Polly & Jumpin’) to get back from the beach everyone tucked into food, some last minute rediscovering and borrowing of trophies we finally got the awards under way…With club chairman Dai Newson having had to go to bingo Captain Simon Jenkins presented medals to all who had played 3 games, except Richard Hapus who somehow got missed and wasn’t hapus about it. (to be fair Richard played every game, scored twice and picked up a Man of the Match award so he shouldn’t have been forgotten) (who said wishful thinking). Deano got the first chant of the night and Killer had a mini pwdi just to prove he could still do them. The Warriors resident superstar Lewi Jones gave out the next few awards, Bloc shedding a tear as he picked up Sportsman, Nathan obviously very pleased to pick up Most Improved and Simon a very popular Players’ Player.Councillor Winston Lemon came up to present Player of the Year and Rhydain Williams was a VERY happy stand in to collect on behalf of Rob Hughes who was unfortunately working – whether Rob would have been as pleased is actually doubtful and it took a fair effort to get the Golden Bola back off him later. And that was it for another seasonOops – present Lewi with a medal for the 4 games he turned up for (there’s a trophy for if he only turns up for 3 next year)
Oops – didn’t mention the 2-4-1 Ashleys when mentioning new players in the season review,
Oops – forgot to give out Top Points Scorer to Simon Jenkins
WAIT – Simon DOES now want to give a speech even though he had turned down the chance earlier
WAIT – Jason won’t do ‘the roof is on fire’ but will give a song (He ain’t heavy)
WAIT – to huge encouragement not to retire Jason WILL do the roof is on fireAnd that………….was that!
Just remained to have a few pints and lots of talk of the next season, Scotland, e**lish teams, new grounds, fund raising, committees, bands etc etc. There was a Williams family led move to the bucket and spade and talk of going into town but at this point your correspondent headed for home to reflect on another cracking Warriors event.
